We are a very friendly one-form entry school (two-form currently in Year 4) which serves a diverse community, where one-fifth speaks English as an additional language. Our pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is promoted strongly by the 'Rights-Respecting School’ initiative, this together with staff development, is having a very positive impact on pupil outcomes. The range of needs is wide and our staff work hard to offer and achieve an inclusive education.

We have been awarded the Level 1 Rights Respecting Award (United Nations Conventions on the Rights of the Child) and model rights and respect in all our relationships: between staff and pupils, between parents/carers and between pupils. We have also been accredited with the Basic Skills Quality Mark, Artsmark, Healthy Schools status, Active Mark, School Games Bronze Award, Silver Eco Schools Award and Bronze Sustainable Travel Award.

We have a breakfast and after school club.
